Market Need
VPN has been used for many years connecting branch office and mobile users. When deploying a VPN, commonly encounter some difficulties as following:
1. After so many years and large demand, VPN is still within the hands of technical people. Deploying a VPN requires network engineers. Besides initial deployment, the on-going maintenance also has to be done by dedicated engineers or out-sourced to some service providers. This either increases the total cost of ownership(TCO) or the work load of the already busy IT organization.
2. When VPN is needed beyond large enterprises, the requirement for a fixed IP address prevents it from going into SME or SOHO market where ADSL with dynamic IP address are mainly used.
